These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Pikt Rewards LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“Pikt,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern your use of the Pikt website, applications, and services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We have tried to keep this document readable, because we want you to read it. The heart of it: Pikt names the best card already in your wallet. It never issues a card, never touches your money, and you always pay with your own cards. The sections below make that precise.
Pikt Rewards helps you use the highest-earning credit card in your wallet for every purchase, except when a safety check names a different card instead — for example, when the top-earning card has little or no room left on its credit limit. You add the cards you carry — by picking them from our catalog, or optionally by linking a bank through Quiltt — and Pikt tells you the best card to use.
Online, the Pikt Checkout browser extension names your best card at checkout and points at the card-number field so your browser’s own saved cards can fill it — Pikt never types, stores, or reads card numbers.
The extension may send a short merchant label, an approximate amount, optional usage and feedback events, and — if one of Pikt’s own packaged scripts crashes — a sanitized error report. It does not send the rest of the page.
In stores, Pikt Signal is not yet available; when it launches, it will surface the best card on your phone. You always pay with your own existing cards.
Pikt is in beta and is not a bank, money transmitter, card issuer, or financial advisor. Pikt does not issue any card, hold or move your funds, sit in your payment flow, or take custody of money. We carry the recommendation, not the dollars. Our reward recommendations are projections based on available data and may differ from rewards actually earned. You are solely responsible for your spending and card decisions.
Optional checkout history. With your separate, affirmative consent, the Pikt Checkout extension can also keep a record of your own checkouts — the store name and the approximate amount, not which card you paid with — so future recommendations are based on your own history instead of averages across all members. This is off unless you turn it on, and can be turned off again at any time from Settings. What is saved and how to turn it off is described in Section 1a of our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. resident, and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] of any unauthorized use.
No verification required today. The current Service (card recommendations, the Pikt Checkout extension, and read-only account linking) does not require identity verification. Pikt does not issue cards, hold funds, or move money. These features do not ask you to complete a Know Your Customer (KYC) identity check or sanctions screening.
Card-issuance checks are not part of the Service today. Pikt does not issue a consumer card in this preview. Screening tools for a future card (watchlist monitoring and identity verification) may exist in our systems, but they do not run on your account unless we launch that feature and give notice under Section 14.
Verification for account security. Pikt may ask you to verify your identity to keep your account secure — for example, to confirm you own the account after a password reset, or while investigating suspected fraud or unauthorized access.
Pikt does not currently issue a card or offer any other regulated financial product, so this section does not involve a Customer Identification Program, biometric verification, or sanctions-list screening. If Pikt were to offer a regulated financial feature in the future, identity-verification requirements specific to that feature would be described here and we would provide notice under Section 14 before it launches.
Refusal of service. We reserve the right to deny account linking or suspend your account if requested verification fails, your identity cannot be confirmed, or doing so is necessary to protect the security of the Service or its users.
How recommendations work. Pikt names the card in your linked or selected wallet that our card-matching system expects to earn the most at a given merchant, subject to a safety check: Pikt names a different card in your wallet instead of the top earner when that card has little or no room left on its credit limit.
The named card may also differ from your stated preference if a different card offers superior rewards at that merchant. Pikt never directs, initiates, or processes a payment; you always choose which card to pay with.
No guarantee of the best outcome. While we use commercially reasonable efforts to name the highest-earning card, we cannot promise the named card will always be the best possible choice. Reward rates, issuer offers, and purchase categories change without notice. Pikt is not liable for any reward value that could have been earned with a different card selection.
Every pick is an estimate and a recommendation. Everything the Service tells you about a card pick is an estimate and a recommendation, not a fact or a promise. That includes which card we name, the reward rate we show, any projected reward or savings figure, any comparison against another card, and any “extra earned” or first-year value we display.
Projected savings come from simulations or unconfirmed checkout records. Savings become confirmed only after you tell us you paid with the card Pikt named; we keep projected and confirmed savings separate.
Each of these is our best estimate from the information available to us at that moment. The estimate uses published issuer terms, the merchant and category we identified, the cards you have told us about, and the redemption value you selected.
Any of those inputs can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong, and issuers, not Pikt, make the final decision about what a purchase earns. A recommendation is a suggestion for you to weigh; it is not financial, legal, or tax advice, and it is not a representation that you will actually earn any amount. You are always free to disregard it and pay however you choose.
Service availability. If a recommendation cannot be produced in time at checkout (due to network failure, service unavailability, or other conditions), no recommendation is shown and your purchase proceeds normally with whichever card you choose. Pikt is not part of the payment flow and cannot cause a transaction to be declined.
Beyond naming your best card, Pikt can alert you to a merchant offer available on a card — a discount or statement credit that your card issuer, not Pikt, makes available. These alerts come from a list Pikt maintains by hand from publicly announced issuer offers.
Pikt does not connect your card to any offers network, and no offers provider watches your transactions. Because issuers target offers person by person, an alert only tells you an offer is commonly available at that merchant; you confirm and turn it on yourself in your issuer’s own app. Pikt never activates an offer on your behalf and never touches your card or your money to do so.
Offers come from the issuer, not from us. Merchant offers are created, priced, and administered by the issuing bank or network. Pikt has no control over which offers exist, who is eligible for them, when they change or expire, or whether an issuer credits a purchase that appears to qualify. The same offer may be shown to one member and not another because issuers target offers individually — that is an issuer decision, not something Pikt can affect.
No guarantee of accuracy or credit. Offer alerts are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Pikt does not guarantee that an alert is current, that an offer you activate will be honored, or that a qualifying purchase will be credited by your issuer. You are responsible for confirming offer terms and activation directly with your card issuer before relying on them. Pikt is not liable for a missed, delayed, denied, or reduced credit, or for any other loss connected to a merchant offer.
Certain features require a paid subscription. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis — monthly or annually, whichever you choose at checkout — and the current price and billing interval for each plan are shown before you subscribe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on each renewal until you cancel. Annual plans are charged in full at the start of each yearly term.
Who processes the payment. Subscriptions are managed through Clerk, our authentication and billing provider, with Stripe acting as the payment processor. Your card details are collected and stored by those providers, not by Pikt. Any one-time purchases are processed by Stripe.
You may cancel at any time from Settings → Billing, which opens the billing portal for your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including the unused portion of an annual term. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice before any price increase takes effect, and any change applies from your next renewal.
Beta access and Pro pricing. Pikt is offered in beta. During beta, some features labeled “Pro” or “Pro extras” may be available to beta members without a paid subscription. That beta Pro access is not a fixed-term commitment. We do not guarantee any minimum number of days or months of free Pro access. We may modify, suspend, or end free Pro-for-beta access at any time, including before any period we previously described in marketing or product UI, by updating the Service, Pricing page, or these Terms (and providing notice of material changes as described in Changes to These Terms). Before we cut free Pro-for-beta access, we will give in-product and/or email notice; notice will not be Terms-only.
Paid Pro pricing is not charged during beta. List prices shown on the Service (including any monthly or yearly amounts) describe intended pricing after beta, when paid plans open. We will announce when paid Pro billing begins. Until then, we will not auto-charge you for Pro solely because you used Pro extras in beta. When paid plans open, we will not auto-enroll beta members onto a paid plan. Starting paid Pro requires affirmative checkout by the member. The then-current Pricing page and checkout flow control price, term, renewal, and cancellation. Free-forever features (including Pikt Checkout and Card Check, as described on Pricing) remain subject to these Terms and may change with notice as allowed here.
Nothing in beta marketing copy promising “3 months” or similar creates a contractual right to a minimum free period if these Terms say otherwise.
One optional program. Pikt Personal is voluntary and separate from the core Service in these Terms. Declining or leaving does not remove the core recommendation features. The program-only benefits below may depend on participating.
It requires an explicit opt-in and you must be 18 or older. What you get for joining is more accurate recommendations: Pikt learns which cards actually earn the most for wallets like yours, so the card it names for you improves instead of relying on averages across all members. It is an optional choice in Settings → Privacy & data. What it collects is described in Section 1d of our Privacy Policy.
Thank-you for using Pikt Personal. When you turn on Pikt Personal and connect a bank through Quiltt — either step can come first — we add one free month of Pikt Pro to your account. The free month is added once, lasts 30 days, and is shown on the join screen before you opt in. It is not a recurring payment, and it is not money, a deposit, or a stored-value account. Joining without connecting a bank does not earn the month, and a member who leaves and later rejoins does not receive a second one.
How your spending is stored. What Pikt Insights measures is filed under a coded ID rather than under your name, and the key that connects that code to you lives in our application rather than in the database.
We are careful not to call that anonymous: the code can be matched back to you, which is what lets you see your own history and download a copy of your own data.
So these measurements are still your personal information and we treat them that way. The matching happens automatically, so your own history is there when you open it; nobody at Pikt looks at an individual member’s spending except where the law requires it. Access to that key and to the production database is limited to two people at Pikt. Sections 4 and 5 of our Privacy Policy set this out in full.
We do not sell your data. Pikt does not sell your personal information, or reports built from it, to advertisers, data brokers, researchers, or any other third party.
Licensing recommendation technology to a partner is not a sale of your personal information. A partner receives card recommendations produced by that technology. A partner never receives your data, a feed of member data, or anything that identifies you. The programs exist to make your own recommendations sharper and to power member-only features like Community benchmarks — see Section 1d of our Privacy Policy for exactly what is and is not done with your data.
Leaving and changes. You can leave Pikt Insights at any time from Settings → Privacy & data. Leaving takes effect immediately. We stop using your Insights measurements for new research and Community benchmarks. You keep any free Pro month already banked. We may modify, suspend, or end Pikt Personal or its thank-you with reasonable notice. Ending the program will not take back a free Pro month already banked.
You agree not to:
The Service, including its software, recommendation engine, design, and content, is owned by Pikt Rewards and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
Technology built with consented data. Pikt develops and may license recommendation technology to partners. Where models behind that technology are trained on member data, they are trained only on data from members who opted in (the “Improve Pikt” dial choice or Pikt Personal), as described in Section 3a of our Privacy Policy.
Licensed technology contains no personal information, and all models, weights, and derived technology are and remain the exclusive property of Pikt Rewards. Nothing in these Terms transfers to you, or to any partner, any right in another member’s data.
The Service integrates third-party providers, including Quiltt and Plaid (financial data connectivity; Quiltt also covers identity verification and watchlist monitoring if future regulated features launch), Clerk (authentication and subscription billing), and Stripe (payment processing).
Resend provides email delivery and reports whether an email we sent was opened or a link in it clicked. Crisp provides in-app support chat. Anthropic provides phrasing for Pikt Copilot answers. PostHog and Google Analytics provide browser analytics after cookie consent; PostHog also receives the signed-in service milestones described in our Privacy Policy.
Sentry provides error monitoring. The hosting, search, and logo providers named in Section 5 of our Privacy Policy are also third-party providers. Your use of those providers is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers. What each provider receives is described in Section 5 of our Privacy Policy.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that reward recommendations will be accurate, complete, or result in any particular outcome, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Every card pick, reward rate, and reward or savings figure the Service shows is an estimate and a recommendation only, as described in Section 5.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PIKT AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOST PROFITS OR REWARDS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING SUBOPTIMAL CARD RECOMMENDATIONS, OR ACTS OF PLAID, YOUR CARD ISSUER, OR ANY CARD NETWORK. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pikt from any claims, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings. Account deletion is not instant. After you confirm, a 14-day grace period applies, as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms, applicable law, or to protect the Service or its users. We may also suspend access without prior notice where required by applicable law or to prevent fraud or misuse of the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by email or in-app at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
Please read this section carefully — it affects your legal rights.
You and Pikt agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules, rather than in court.
Class-action waiver. You and Pikt each waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative action.
Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief from a court for issues involving intellectual property or unauthorized access.
Opt-out. You may opt out of arbitration by notifying us at [email protected] within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms, including your name, email address, and a statement that you wish to opt out.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. To the extent a dispute is not subject to arbitration, the parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
