Error codes
If you hit an error in Pikt, look it up here for a plain-English explanation and the quickest way to resolve it.
UNAUTHORIZED | Sign in required You need to be signed in to access this. Refresh and try again. |
FORBIDDEN | Access denied You don't have permission to do that. Upgrade your plan if needed. |
SESSION_EXPIRED | Session expired You've been signed out for security. Sign in again to continue. |
CLERK_AUTH_FAILED | Couldn't verify your identity Sign-in failed. Try again, and if it persists, reset your password. |
EMAIL_NOT_VERIFIED | Verify your email Check your inbox for a verification link before continuing. |
RATE_LIMITED | Slow down a bit You've made too many requests. Wait a moment and try again. |
TOO_MANY_REQUESTS | Too many attempts You've hit a temporary limit. Pause for a minute, then retry. |
NOT_FOUND | Not found We couldn't find what you were looking for. It may have been removed. |
VALIDATION | Check your input Something looks off with the data you entered. Please review and retry. |
BAD_REQUEST | Request couldn't be processed The request was malformed. Refresh the page and try once more. |
CONFLICT | Already exists This conflicts with something that already exists. Review and adjust. |
PAYLOAD_TOO_LARGE | That's too large The data or file you sent exceeds the allowed size. Trim it and retry. |
PLAID_DISCONNECTED | Bank connection lost Your bank account needs to be reconnected. Go to Wallet → Reconnect. |
PLAID_SYNC_FAILED | Couldn't refresh your transactions We couldn't get your latest transactions. Try again in a few minutes. |
PLAID_ITEM_LOGIN_REQUIRED | Bank wants you to sign in again Your bank requires re-authentication. Reconnect the account in Wallet. |
PLAID_INVALID_CREDENTIALS | Bank login rejected The username or password you entered didn't work. Please try again. |
PLAID_RATE_LIMIT | Bank is throttling requests Plaid is temporarily limiting requests. Wait a moment and retry. |
PLAID_INSTITUTION_DOWN | Your bank is unavailable The institution is temporarily down. This usually resolves on its own. |
PLAID_PRODUCT_NOT_READY | Bank data still loading Your bank is still preparing data. Give it a minute, then refresh. |
ROUTING_FAILED | Routing unavailable We couldn't pikt the best card for this purchase. Your default card was used. |
NO_CARDS | No cards linked Link at least one reward card in Wallet so Pikt can optimize your spend. |
CARD_EXPIRED | Card expired This card has expired. Update or remove it so routing stays accurate. |
ROUTING_TIMEOUT | Routing took too long We couldn't pikt your best card in time. Your default card was used instead. |
PAYMENT_FAILED | Payment didn't go through Check your payment method and try again, or contact support. |
CARD_DECLINED | Card was declined Your bank declined the charge. Try another card or contact your bank. |
INSUFFICIENT_FUNDS | Insufficient funds There weren't enough funds to complete the charge. Try another method. |
SUBSCRIPTION_REQUIRED | Premium required This feature needs an active Premium plan. Upgrade in Settings → Billing. |
SUBSCRIPTION_INACTIVE | Subscription inactive Your plan isn't active. Update billing in Settings → Billing to restore access. |
BILLING_PORTAL_UNAVAILABLE | Billing portal unavailable We couldn't open the billing portal. Try again shortly or contact support. |
STRIPE_ERROR | Payment processor error Our payment processor hit a snag. No charge was made — please retry. |
SERVER_ERROR | Something went wrong We hit an unexpected error on our end. Try again or come back shortly. |
NETWORK_ERROR | Connection issue Check your internet connection and try again. |
SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE | Temporarily unavailable We're briefly offline or under maintenance. Please try again soon. |
GATEWAY_TIMEOUT | Request timed out The server took too long to respond. Retry in a moment. |
DATABASE_ERROR | Storage hiccup We couldn't read or save your data just now. Please try again. |
