Quick answers about Pikt — how it works, card safety, billing, and what's coming next.

Account & setup
Is Pikt a commercial product?
Not yet. Pikt is in early development — see our About page for how we're building it.
Is it safe to connect my cards?
Use Plaid in demo mode only (username
user_good, password pass_good) — do not use real bank credentials. When we launch commercially, Pikt will connect through bank-grade, read-only data providers and never store your raw card numbers. See our security page →Does Pikt work with my existing cards?
Pikt supports the major rewards cards from leading U.S. issuers, including cash-back, travel, and points cards. On Free, the simulator covers the full card catalog — no linking required. With Premium, link your actual cards via Plaid and Pikt personalizes recommendations across your real wallet.
How do I resume onboarding if setup was interrupted?
Sign back in and go to Onboarding. You can skip the quiz, connect a card later, or return to the dashboard at any time.

How does Pikt decide which card to use?
Before you pay, enter the merchant and amount (or choose a category). Pikt compares reward rates, bonus categories, and active offers across every card you've linked and surfaces the single card that earns you the most — with a dollar delta and plain-English why.
How do stores get categorized for rewards?
Card networks assign each store a spending category — dining, groceries, travel, and so on. That category decides which bonus applies. For example, a coffee shop may count as dining rather than groceries. Pikt uses the actual category from your purchase, not just the store name. Read the guide →
Will Pikt automatically pay with the right card for me?
Pikt carries the decision, not the dollars — it never issues a card or moves your money. Online, the Pikt Checkout browser extension recognizes the store and auto-fills your best card at checkout. In-store, Pikt Nearby names the best card on your lock screen as you walk in. Be clear on the limit: in-store, Pikt tells you which card to use — it can't drive the wallet tap for you, though it can prompt you to set your best card as your Apple Pay or Google Pay default.
How does best-card selection work?
Pikt compares your linked cards against the merchant, amount, category, and any active offers, then names the single card that earns you the most. Online it fills that card in for you at checkout; in-store it surfaces it on your lock screen. You still complete the payment yourself.
Billing

What's the difference between Free and Premium?
Free includes the pre-checkout advisor and best-card recommendations — no bank linking required. Premium adds Plaid card linking (unlimited cards), confirmed savings history, wallet analytics, and priority support. See full comparison →
Can I cancel anytime?
Absolutely. No contracts or commitments. Downgrade to Free or cancel Premium at any time from Settings → Billing — you keep access through the end of your billing period.
Is my bank data safe with Pikt?
Yes. Pikt connects through bank-grade, read-only access via Plaid and never stores your raw card numbers or moves money. See how we keep you safe →
Why Premium instead of a free rewards app?
Free gives you the advisor and best-card recommendations — enough to stop guessing at checkout, no bank linking required. Premium unlocks Plaid card linking, confirmed savings history, and wallet analytics.

Technical & troubleshooting
Do I need a Pikt card to use Pikt?
No — Pikt never issues a card. Online, install the Pikt Checkout browser extension and it auto-fills your best card at checkout. In-store, Pikt Nearby names the best card on your lock screen and can prompt you to set it as your Apple Pay or Google Pay default. Get started from the Pikt overview page.
How do I delete my account and data?
Go to Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your linked cards, simulations, offers, and history. Any active subscription is canceled. This cannot be undone.
Something went wrong — how do I report a problem?
Use the contact form. Include the page you were on, what you clicked, and any error message.
