How to change your card on file for GitHub

GitHub Pro and Copilot renew monthly or yearly on the payment method in your settings. You keep every card you carry — this just makes sure GitHub renews on the one that earns the most.

Where to update it

In your GitHub account: Settings → Billing and plans → Payment information.

Step by step

Sign in at github.com and open Settings.
Choose Billing and plans, then Payment information.
Select Edit and add the card Pikt names.
Save. Copilot and Pro renewals will use it.
